Colton is One! {Baton Rouge, LA Child Photographer}

Happy 1st Birthday to Colton!  What a fun baby he was to photograph yesterday!  We were able to meet up for our session at my dear friend Kelle's home in beautiful St. Francisville, as it is one of my favorite locations to shoot.  (You can see other samples from this location here, here and here.)  Beautiful big oak trees, a lake, an old picket fence, an old sugar bowl, precious iron chairs, and tons and tons of open land.  In addition to the precious baby and the beautiful backdrop, we also had gorgeous weather - by a photographer's standards.  It was very overcast and looked like it might rain, but that overcast sky just produced the most beautiful diffused light, so it was a win-win-win!

Baby Luke {Baton Rouge Newborn Photographer}

Little Luke is finally here, even though he waited until the bitter end to make his appearance!  We're so thankful he's made it into the world!

I can't believe these photos from last November were never posted!!  I know it was probably during the Christmas rush, but I wasn't able to post these photos after Kelle's cards were sent out.  So, here they are - the ever-growing Grezaffi family from last November!

I was so delighted on this chilly day to be photographing these 2 sweet sisters.  They were such troopers, because it was unusually cold!  In between shots, the girls would have to throw on their little coats.  They couldn't have been more precious!

The many faces of Mary Kate {Baton Rouge Child Photographer}

I absolutely love this age: 6 months.  The babes are starting to sit up, they are little "roly polies" with their rolls around their wrists and thighs, their cheeks are fluffy and "pinchable", as though they are storing up for winter.  And the smiles!  Those 6 month olds tend to give you the biggest, most genuine smiles, and little Mary Kate was no exception.  I was fortunate enough to photograph this precious lady as a newborn...oh, how much they change in such a short amount of time!  I look forward to photographing her at 1 year...but, please, don't let that happen too soon, sweet girl...for Mom and Dad's sake!
