Something new I'm trying {Baton Rouge Family Photographer}

I have always wanted to try my hand at creating a video with a DSLR.  So, while visiting a friend out of town, I decided to give it a go!  Her family is often my guinea pig for trying new things, so they were happy to oblige - well, most of them!  HA! :)  I rented a camera that has the video option available since my precious Nikon model didn't offer it.  I shot this video in the Fall, and now that the Christmas rush has died down, I've had the opportunity to actually put it together - and I must say, I really enjoyed making it!

I hope everyone had a very blessed Christmas!

**You may have to let the video load for about a minute before viewing so that it doesn't "skip" and has time to load.  Also, I realize it's quite small here on the blog, so to view larger, you can click on the button at the bottom that has the 4 arrows or you can click on the word "vimeo" at the bottom to be taken to the Vimeo site for viewing!

My favorite clients {Baton Rouge Child Photographer}

Yes, these are my favorite clients - okay, so they're not so much clients as they are my nephews - the 3 sweetest little boys: John Collier, Brooks and Graham!  We took these photos when we were in North Carolina for Thanksgiving.  There may or may not have been bribing involved to get these photos taken.  And, no, as their aunt, I do not always have my camera in their face...seriously, this only happens once a year!

Merry Christmas from Ashley Beth Photography!

Margaret "Maggie" Claire {Baton Rouge Newborn Photographer}

Sweet Maggie is finally here!  I loved getting to spend nearly a week visiting and loving her while in Louisville a few weeks ago.  What an awesome Christmas gift for the Godthaab family to welcome Maggie into their family!  And Grace is such a great big sister! :)

And I simply couldn't decide between these 2 different photos, one in color and one in black and white - so I made one of each!

Coming up next on the blog: my favorite clients!  Yes, I do have favorites!

The Godthaab Family {Baton Rouge Child and Family Photographer}

My sweet friends, the Godthaabs, just welcomed their 2nd beautiful baby girl into the world, Margaret "Maggie" Claire!  I'm so excited that she's here, and even more excited to have been able to spend a week with her in Louisville, KY last week!  This past October, the Godthaabs journeyed to Baton Rouge for the LSU/UK game, and while they were here, we had a little photo session out by the LSU lakes.  Be on the lookout soon for photos of Maggie!

The May Family {Baton Rouge Child and Family Photographer}

The May family and I met at a friend's father's home, and it was SO PERFECT!  It was landscaped so beautifully, and the lighting was just perfect.  The kids did so well...but they are pretty used to being in front of the camera, so that makes my job easier! :)

You can follow the May Family blog here!

Oh, these next 2 photos make me smile! :)

The Odinet Family {Baton Rouge Child and Family Photographer}

It's the most wonderful time of the year...and busy!  I've been busy traveling, and I will be on the road again in a few days (for a much needed break), so I have been busily trying to finish all photo shoots for the year as well as submit Christmas card orders.  I really can't believe we are already in the Christmas season, but I just love it all - Christmas cards, Christmas music, Christmas trees!

Meet the Odinet family - yep, that is 5 children, ages 6 and under!  I love it!  They were all so well behaved...quite impressive for this many children! :)  Enjoy your images, Odinet Family!
